Bach vs. Shostakovich (BvS)
Corpus of fugues from Bach and Shostakovich in MIDI format, originally used for composer recognition. The corpus contains 35 Bach's fugues selected from "Das Wohltemperierte Klavier" and "Die Kunst der Fuge", and 24 fugues written by Shostakovich between 1950 and 1951 in homage to the two series of 24 preludes and fugues written by Bach in "Das Wohltemperierte Klavier".
Fugues (Bach, Krebs, & Kellner)
Corpus of fugues from J.S. Bach, W.F. Bach, J.L. Krebs, J.P. Kellner, and some disputed fugues originally attributed to J.S. Bach. The goal of this corpus is to study the style of different composers and try to guess the real author of the disputed pieces. The corpus was originally built by van Kranenburg (2006), and was available in **kern at his website (no longer available). These files were transformed into MIDI format for the same task (Pérez-Sancho, 2009) by using the Humdrum toolkit.
